Protesters gathered on the beach last night to express their anger at Southern Water for repeatedly polluting the sea.
Recent incidents have led to environmental damage, closed beaches and have cost seaside businesses in lost trade.
A poem on the black wooden wall of the cottage is from John Donne’s poem The Sun Rising:
Busy old fool, unruly Sun,
Why does thou thus,
Through windows and through curtains call on us?
Must to thy motions lovers’ seasons run?
